报告内容:

Carbon nanotubes,graphene, and mesoporous carbon structures constitute a new class of carbon nanomaterialswith properties that differ significantly from other forms of carbon such asgraphite and diamond. They are promising for energy applications due to theirextraordinary electronic, thermal and mechanical properties. Our researchfocuses on developing economically scalable approaches to synthesize carbonnanomaterials with well-defined atomic structures for energy applications. Inthis talk, I will introduce our recent work on (1) synthesis of carbonnanotube-graphene hybrids for supercapacitors and (2) synthesis of nitrogendoped carbon composites as electrocatalysts.
